AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ACT, 1947 (EXPORT OF POULTRY AND RABBITS) ORDER, 1950 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1954.

AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ACT, 1947 (EXPORT OF POULTRY AND RABBITS) ORDER, 1950 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1954.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), hereby order as follows :--

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Poultry and Rabbits) Order, 1950 (Amendment) Order, 1954.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 24th day of November, 1954.

2. Article 8 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Poultry and Rabbits) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 302 of 1950 ), shall not apply to any export of dead poultry which is--

(a) an export by parcel post, or

(b) an export in a consignment which is sent otherwise than by parcel post and the total gross weight of which is not in excess of the maximum weight for the time being allowed to be sent by parcel post, or,

(c) an export as private effects in a passenger's baggage, the total gross weight of the poultry and any container thereof being not in excess of the maximum weight for the time being allowed to be sent by parcel post.
