I, THOMAS WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946) ), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Feeding Stuffs) Order, 1944 (Amendment) Order, 1953. |
||
2. Paragraph (1) of Article 2 of the Emergency Powers (Feeding Stuffs) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 196 of 1944), is hereby amended by the substitution for the definition of the expression " compound feeding stuff " of the following definition : |
||
" the expression ' compound feeding stuff ' means any mixture of two or more articles at least one of which is a feeding stuff, but excepting any mixture consisting solely of-- |
||
(a) maize and barley, |
||
(b) molasses and sugar beet pulp, |
||
(c) meat meal and bone meal, |
||
(d) chopped hay and crushed oats, |
||
(e) chopped straw and crushed oats, or |
||
(f) two or more by-products of oat-milling none of which is husks derived from the milling or dehulling of oats, hulls so derived, or shudes so derived." |
||
3. The Emergency Powers (Feeding Stuffs) Order, 1944 (Amendment) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 237 of 1950 ), is hereby revoked. |
