S.I. No. 118/1952:

CATTLE AND SHEEP (EXPORT PROHIBITION) ORDER, 1952.

CATTLE AND SHEEP (EXPORT PROHIBITION) ORDER, 1952.

The Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 29 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Cattle and Sheep (Export Prohibition) Order, 1952.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. On and after 11th May, 1952, the export to Great Britain and Northern Ireland of cattle and sheep, other than fat cattle or fat sheep consigned to the British Ministry of Food at an approved centre in Great Britain for immediate slaughter, is hereby prohibited.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Agriculture this 10th day of May, 1952.
