S.I. No. 176/1949:

CREAMERY BUTTER (PROHIBITION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1949.

CREAMERY BUTTER (PROHIBITION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1949.

Whereas it is enacted by Section 31 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935) that the Minister for Agriculture may, whenever and so often as he thinks it expedient so to do, by Order prohibit the exportation from Ireland (either generally or to any particular country or countries) on or after a specified date, of butter.

NOW I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935) hereby order as follows--

1. This Order may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Prohibition of Export) Order, 1949.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. The exportation of Creamery Butter is hereby prohibited.

4. This Order shall come into force as on and from the 3rd day of June, 1949.
