LOCAL ELECTIONS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1948.

|
The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers vested in him by article 5 of the Schedule to the Local Government (Application of Enactments) Order, 1898, hereby orders as follows :--
|
|
|
1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Elections (Amendment) Order, 1948.
|
|
|
(2) The Local Elections Orders, 1942 and this Order shall be construed as one and may be collectively cited as the Local Elections Orders, 1942 and 1948.
|
|
|
2.--(1) The returning officer for the first election of commissioners of a town shall be the county manager for the county in which the town is situate.
|
|
|
(2) The said returning officer may, in writing, appoint a person to be his deputy for all or any of the purposes relating to the said election.
|
|
|
