S.I. No. 199/1948:

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 38, TWENTY-FIRST PERIOD) ORDER, 1948.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 38, TWENTY-FIRST PERIOD) ORDER, 1948.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38, Twenty-First Period) Order, 1948.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The period beginning on the 1st day of July, 1948, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1948, is hereby appointed to be the Twenty-First Quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38) Order, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 139 of 1939 ), as amended (which relates to certain metal screws).

4. One hundred thousand gross of the screws to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 38) Order, 1939, as amended, applies, shall be the quota in respect of the said Twenty-First quota period.

5. Of the quota in respect of the said Twenty-First quota period, ninety-six thousand gross shall be screws which are shown, to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners, to have been manufactured either in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or in the Dominion of Canada.
