WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS (FULL-TIME INSTRUCTION) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS, 1939. | ||
The Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 2 of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 , as amended by Section 3 of the Widows' and Orphans ' Pensions Act, 1937, does by this, his Order, make the following Regulations :— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Full-time Instruction) Amendment Regulations, 1939, and shall be read as one with the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Full-time Instruction) Regulations, 1937 (No. 291 of 1937) hereinafter referred to as the " Principal Regulations." | ||
These Regulations and the Principal Regulations may be cited together as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Full-time Instruction) Regulations, 1937 and 1939. | ||
2. The following Article shall be added to the Principal Regulations : | ||
5. A child who, immediately prior to the commencement of a period of school holidays recognised by the responsible authority of the school which the child normally attends, is, owing to physical or mental infirmity, unable to receive full-time instruction in a day school and who recovers from such infirmity during the holidays, shall be deemed to be under full-time instruction in a day school during the period between the date of the recovery from such infirmity and the end of such holidays. | ||
