CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 2. SIXTH PERIOD, ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1936. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that whenever the Executive Council has, by order made under that Section, appointed a quota in respect of any quota period, the Executive Council may, if they so think fit, by order made before the expiration of such quota period increase such quota by such amount (in that Act referred to as an additional quota) as they think proper. | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2, Sixth Period) Order, 1936 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 53 of 1936), made under the said Section 6, the Executive Council appointed the period beginning on the 1st day of April, 1936, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1936, to be the sixth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 231 of 1934), and appointed a total amounting to four thousand pneumatic tyres (being pneumatic tyres of one or more of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the last-mentioned Order) to be the quota in respect of the said sixth quota period : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) (Amendment) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 46 of 1935), the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) Order, 1934, was amended by restricting as on and from the 1st day of April, 1935, the meaning of the expression "pneumatic tyre" in the last mentioned Order to outer covers only : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2, Sixth Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1936. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2, Sixth Period) Order, 1936, in respect of the sixth quota period appointed by that Order is hereby increased by thirteen thousand pneumatic tyres of one or more of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 231 of 1934), to the intent that the said thirteen thousand pneumatic tyres shall be an additional quota in respect of the said sixth quota period and the total quota in respect of the said sixth quota period shall be seventeen thousand pneumatic tyres (being pneumatic tyres of one or more of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the last-mentioned Order). | ||
