WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION (ATTENDANCE OF MEDICAL ASSESSOR) (FEE) REGULATIONS, 1934. | ||
WHEREAS by virtue of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Commencement) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 153, of 1934), the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), came into operation on the 1st day of August, 1934 : | ||
AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 39 of the said Act that any party to any proceedings under the said Act may apply to the Court to have a medical referee summoned to sit as assessor to the Court on the hearing of such proceedings, and the Court on such application being made and on payment to the county registrar by such party of such fee as may be fixed by regulations made by the Minister for Justice with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, shall summon a medical referee accordingly : | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PATRICK J. RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of section 39 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, testified by his signature hereto, make the following Regulations, that is to say :— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Workmen's Compensation (Attendance of Medical Assessor) (Fee) Regulations, 1934. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
4. The fee to be paid by a party to any proceedings under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), who applies under subsection (2) of section 39 of the Act to the Court to have a medical referee summoned to sit as assessor to the Court on the hearing of the proceedings shall be the sum of five pounds. | ||
