CENSORSHIP OF PUBLICATIONS REGULATIONS, 1930 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1930. | |||
WHEREAS by Section 20, Sub- section 1 of the Censorship of Publications Act, 1929 , No. 21 of 1929, hereinafter referred to as the Act, it is enacted that the Minister for Justice may by Order make regulations prescribing the manner and form in which complaints are to be made to the Minister under the Act. | |||
AND WHEREAS, by Order dated the 26th of February, 1930, entitled the Censorship of Publications Regulations, 1930, made in pursuance of the said Section and Sub-section the manner and form in which complaints were to be made to the Minister were so prescribed : | |||
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to alter the said manner and form in which complaints are to be made. | |||
NOW I, JAMES FITZGERALD-KENNEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 20, Sub-section 1 of the Act and of each and every power me in this behalf enabling do hereby Order as follows :— | |||
1. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to this Order in the same manner as it applies to an Act of the Oireachtas. | |||
2. So much of the said Order of the 26th February, 1930, as prescribes the manner and form in which complaints are to be made to the Minister under the Act ; that is to say : paragraphs 3 and 4 and Forms A and B in the Schedule to the Order shall be and the same is hereby revoked. | |||
3. Complaints made under Section 6 of the Act shall be in Form A in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable and shall be accompanied by a copy of the book to which the complaint relates. | |||
4. Complaints made under Section 7 of the Act shall be in Form B in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable and shall be accompanied by a copy of each of not less than three recent issues of the periodical publication to which the complaint relates. | |||
5. This Order may be cited as the Censorship of Publications Regulations 1930 (Amendment) Order ; 1930. | |||

hereby complain that the several issues of (insert name of Periodical) recently published have | |||
(a) usually or frequently been indecent or obscene; | |||
(b) advocated the unnatural prevention of conception or the procurement of abortion or miscarriage or the use of any method, treatment or appliance for the purpose of such prevention or such procurement; | |||
(c) devoted an unduly large proportion of space to the publication of matter relating to crime. | |||
Strike out any ground of complaint which is not relied upon. | |||
I enclose a copy of each of the issues of the said publication published on (insert dates). | |||

NOTE.—(1) A copy of each of not less than three different issues of the periodical must be furnished with the complaint. | |||
(2) In the case of Dailies, the issues should have been published within 14 days of the date of the complaint ; in the case of Weekly Periodicals, within six weeks ; and in the case of Monthly Periodicals, within six months. | |||
