2 Consequential amendments of Articles 26 and 28 of the Constitution. |

AN ACT TO MAKE SUCH AMENDMENTS OF THE CONSTITUTION AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO TERMINATE, AS FROM THE NEXT DISSOLUTION OF THE OIREACHTAS, THE SEPARATE REPRESENTATION OF UNIVERSITIES IN DAIL EIREANN. |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— |
||
Deletion of Article 27 of the Constitution. |
1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of Article 27 thereof. |

Consequential amendments of Articles 26 and 28 of the Constitution. |
2.—(1) Article 26 of the Constitution is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "exclusive of members for the Universities" now contained therein. |
|
(2) Article 28 of the Constitution is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "exclusive of those for members for the Universities" now contained therein. |

Commencement of this Act. |
3.—This Act shall come into operation immediately upon the dissolution of the Oireachtas occurring next after the passing of this Act. |

Short title. |
4.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 23) Act, 1936 . |
