CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT No. 3) ACT, 1927


ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS

1 Cesser of holiday for general election.

2 Short title.


AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY REMOVING THEREFROM THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE DAY OF A GENERAL ELECTION SHOULD BE PROCLAIMED A PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

[4th March, 1927.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—

Cesser of holiday for general election.

1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion from Article 28 thereof of the words "and shall be proclaimed a public holiday."

Short title.

2.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 3) Act 1927 .
