Justices’ Reasons
|
|
1. |
This is an application by the Local Authority for a Supervision Order for 12 months in respect of the children E, C, M and L to enable the applicant to continue to advise, assist and befriend the family. |
2. |
We have had sight of the documents in the court bundle and in particular the care plan for each of the children which are that they remain placed with their mother Miss W and as a result of the successful engagement by the children’s father, Mr R with professional agencies with regard to his drug and alcohol problems, his eventual return to the family home so that the children will ultimately be placed with both parents. It is planned for Mr R to be part of the household again and he will be expected to take on the parenting of the children alongside Ms W in ensuring that the children’s needs are met. |
3. |
The Children’s Guardian supports the plan of the Local Authority and agrees that Supervision orders are the appropriate orders in this case. |
4. |
We have been assisted by the following Assessments and documents:- 1. Psychological Assessment of Miss W (C32 -53 of the bundle) 2. Psychiatric report of Dr F in respect of Mr R (C56-98 of the bundle) 3. Psychological Assessment of Mr R (C99-117 of the bundle) 4. Report of Independent Social Worker (C118-147 of the bundle) 5. Agreement between Mr R, Miss W and the Local Authority (C158-160 of the bundle) |
5. |
We have had regard to the Human Rights of the parties and agree that this order is proportionate and necessary to secure the best interests of the children |
6 |
We have had regard to the Welfare Checklist and adopt the Checklist outlined in the report of the Children’s Guardian (C148-157 of the bundle) |
7 |
We therefore make Supervision Orders in respect of E, C, M and L for a period of 12 months. |
