Most disputes that leaseholders and their landlord or management company cannot resolve between themselves can be taken to a Leasehold Valuation Tribunal (LVT). LVTs are part of the The Residential Property Tribunal Service, a public body charged with providing an affordable, fair, unbiased service. The LVT is binding can adjudicate on matters such as
• insuring the building The The Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) catagories LVT decisions and determinations into six catagories: • 1993 Act determinations• 1985_1987 Act decisions • 1967 Act decisions • Right to Manage decisions • Breaches of lease, Section 168 2002 Act decisions • Estate Charges, section 159 Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 decisions On BAILII these catagories form part of the title information along with the Tribunal location and date of decision, for example: Wales (1967 Act decisions) [2010] EWLVT 712 (07 April 2010)Please note that although there is no text version on BAILII you can search the full text of the decisions on BAILII. |
