- MR JUSTICE OUSELEY: This is formally an appeal against the decision of the district judge ordering the appellant's extradition to Portugal on charges of rape and assault. They are very serious allegations indeed. The trial of the co-defendants has concluded with convictions.
- The decision is dated 19 November 2014. The appeal was not lodged until 28 November 2014. It is therefore out of time. There is no basis for time to be extended. The appellant is a Portuguese national. Therefore, although it is unfortunate that the appeal has been allowed to run on, apparently not being spotted by the court, this court has no jurisdiction to entertain the appeal. Therefore, it will be dismissed.
- I add for whatever comfort it may be to anyone that the grounds of appeal were distinctly unpromising. However the appeal is dismissed.
