"I have come to the conclusion that a fair order here would be for there to be a clean break from the financial circumstances of both parties. I see no point in making an order for any capital, because neither party, on the information before me, has any means of meeting a capital order.
So far as maintenance payment is concerned, it does not seem to me that Mrs Foden, given her strong capital position in 1991, is really a person who ought to be given a maintenance payment."
