      CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS

      The Children's Hearings (Legal Representation) (Scotland) Amendment Rules 2002

        Made 25th January 2002 
        Laid before the Scottish Parliament 30th January 2002 
        Coming into force 22nd February 2002 

      The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(1) and (2)(a), (b), (d) and (i) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Rules:

      Citation and commencement
           1. These Rules may be cited as the Children's Hearings (Legal Representation) (Scotland) Amendment Rules 2002 and shall come into force on 22nd February 2002.

      Amendment of the Children's Hearings (Legal Representation) (Scotland) Rules 2001
          
      2. In Rule 5(1)(a) of the Children's Hearings (Legal Representation) (Scotland) Rules 2001[2] for "the Social Work (Panels of Persons to Safeguard the Interests of Children) (Scotland) Regulations 2001" substitute "the Panels of Persons to Safeguard the Interests of Children (Scotland) Regulations 2001".

      EXPLANATORY NOTE

      (This note is not part of the Rules)

      These Rules amend The Children's Hearings (Legal Representation) (Scotland) Rules 2001. Rule 2 amends an incorrect reference to the Panels of Persons to Safeguard the Interests of Children (Scotland) Regulations 2001.
