WILD BIRDS PROTECTION ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1931 - SECT 4

Shooting captive birds.

4.(1) If any person promotes, arranges, conducts, assists in, receives money
for, or takes part in any meeting, competition, exhibition, pastime, practice,
display or other event whatever at or in the course of which any captive bird
whatsoever, wild or domestic, is liberated by hand or by trap, contrivance or
other means, for the purpose of being shot at the time of liberation, or being
the owner, or occupier, or person in charge of any premises, permits his
premises or property or any part thereof to be used for any such purpose, he
shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.

(2) If any person is guilty of an offence under the last preceeding
sub-section, he shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding
twenty-five pounds, or alternatively or in addition thereto, to be imprisoned
for any term not exceeding three months.
