WILD BIRDS PROTECTION ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1931 - SECT 18

Definitions.

18. In this Act unless the context otherwise requires, the following
expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them respectively, that is to
say:

"Bird" means any wild bird or wild fowl, except grouse, partridge, pheasant,
heath or moor game, black game, snipe and woodcock;

"Specially protected" means protected under section six, or by virtue of
section sixteen, of this Act;

"Close season" means the period from the first day of March to the twelfth day
of August, or such other period as may be prescribed;

"Land" includes water;

"Crops" include fruit and vegetables;

"Occupier" includes every person having any right of hunting, shooting,
fishing or taking game or fish;
