MISCELLANEOUS TRANSFERRED EXCISE DUTIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1972 - SECT 43



43.(1) There shall be charged an excise duty on a licence (to be known as a
"gaming machine licence") authorising gaming machines to be provided for
gaming on premises in respect of which the licence is issued.

(2) Part I of Schedule 3 shall have effect for defining what is a gaming
machine for the purposes of this section.

(3) A gaming machine licence shall be either a whole-year licence for the
period from the 1st October in any year to the 30th September in the following
year or ..., a half-year licence for the period from the 1st October in any
year to the 31st March in the following year or from the 1st April in any year
to the 30th September in that year; ... (all dates inclusive).
