FIRE SERVICES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1969 - SECT 38

Expenses of Ministry.

38. Any notice required or authorised by or under this Act to be given to any
person may be given either

(a)by delivering it to that person, or by leaving it or sending it in a
prepaid letter addressed to him at his usual or last known residence;

(b)in the case of a body corporate by delivering it to the secretary or clerk
thereof at the registered or principal office, or by sending it in a prepaid
letter addressed to him at that office; or

(c)where the owner of a building in respect of which a notice is to be served
is unknown or cannot be ascertained, by addressing such notice to "The Owner"
without naming him and

(i)by delivering it at the building to which it relates to any person over the
age of sixteen years who is resident or employed in that building; or

(ii)if no such person can be found, by affixing it in a conspicuous position
on that building.
