AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE INSURANCE ACTS, 1909 TO 1964. |
||

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: |
||
Definition. |
1.—In this Act "the Act of 1953" means the Insurance Act, 1953 . |

Amendment of Act of 1953. |
2.—The Act of 1953 is hereby amended by the insertion after section 2 (1) of the following: |
|
"(1A) ( a ) The Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, may make arrangements for giving to (or for the benefit of) persons carrying on a business or profession in the State guarantees in relation to the rendering of services to which this subsection applies for a person outside the State. |

( b ) This subsection applies to design and planning services, the work on the rendering of which is carried out in the State in connection with engineering or constructional works executed outside the State". |

Amendment of section 2 (3) of Act of 1953. 1961, No. 28. |
3.—Section 2 (3) of the Act of 1953 is hereby amended by the substitution of "ten million pounds" for "five million pounds" (inserted by the Insurance Act, 1961 ). |

Short tittle and collective citation. |
4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Insurance Act, 1969 . |
|
(2) The Insurance Axle 1909 to 1964, and this Act may be cited together as the Insurance Acts, 1909 to 1969. |
