1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles Registration Fee Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1th April 1998.
2.-(1) A vehicle, which is note a vehicle falling within paragraph (2) below, shall not be registered under section 22 of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 unless a fee of £25 has been paid to the Secretary of State.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to a vehicle which is an exempt vehicle by virtue of paragraph 18 or 19 of Schedule 2 to that Act.

These Regulations provide that a vehicle must not be registered under Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 unless a fee of £25 is paid. Certain vehicles for disabled persons are exempt.
