Whereas an application has been made by notice to the Secretary of State under section 3(1)(a) of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Act 1991(1) by the governing body of the grant-maintained school known as the London Oratory School for exemption from pay and conditions orders;
Now, therefore, in performance of his duty under section 3(4) of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Act 1991, the Secretary of State for Education hereby makes the following Order-“
1.-(1) This Order shall be cited as the Education (London Oratory School) (Exemption from Pay and Conditions Orders) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st September 1993.
(2) This Order applies to the grant-maintained school known as the London Oratory School.
2. With effect from 1st September 1993, subsections (6) and (7) of section 2 of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Act 1991 shall not apply to the statutory conditions of employment of the school teachers in the London Oratory School.

This Order, made under section 3(4) of the Education (School Teachers' Pay and Conditions) Act 1991, comes into force on 1st September 1993.
With effect from that date, section 2(6) and (7) of that Act, which provide that the statutory conditions of employment of school teachers (their remuneration and such of their other conditions of employment as relate to their professional duties and working time) are governed by pay and conditions orders made under section 2(1) of that Act, shall no longer apply to the statutory conditions of employment of school teachers in the London Oratory School.
