The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 72 and 86(1) of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Movement of Animals (Records) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 23rd November 1989.
2. In article 2(3) (interpretation) of the Movement of Animals (Records) Order 1960(2) after the words "article 16(1) of the Tuberculosis (England and Wales) Order 1984" there shall be inserted the words "or article 16(1) of the Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 1984(3), as appropriate,".

This Order further amends the Movement of Animals (Records) Order 1960. It provides that the references in the required form of movement record to an ear-mark or an ear-tag applied to bovine animals shall include a reference to any mark or other means of identification applied for the purposes of the Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 1984 as well as to any mark or other means of identification applied for the purposes of the Tuberculosis (England and Wales) Order 1984 (S.I. 1924/1943) (article 2).
1981 c. 22; section 86(1) contains a definitio of "the Ministers" relevant to the exercise of th statutory powers under which the Order is made.
