Summary
The application relates to a “furniture raiser leg clamp” for raising the height of a piece of furniture. The furniture leg is received in a cup shaped portion of the device and a screw is provided for clamping the leg in the cup. The invention consists of providing a pad (referred to as a “button”) on the end of the screw to spread the clamping force and reduce damage to the furniture leg. The invention was found to lack novelty and inventive step and the case remitted to the examiner to consider amendments proposed by the applicant.
