JUDGE WILSON: This is a preliminary hearing with regard to the proposed Appeal by the London Borough of Brent against the findings by the Employment Tribunal in January of this year that the Applicants succeeded in their claims for unfair selection for redundancy and race and sex discrimination.
- We have had the benefit of a comprehensive skeleton argument on behalf of the proposed Appellants and we have considered the Amended Notice of Appeal attached to that skeleton argument. We consider that there are arguable points which should proceed to a full hearing and we give leave, in the terms of the Amended Notice of Appeal subject to the Respondents being entitled to be heard concerning the Amended Appeal if they so wish, upon notice within 28 days of receiving the Amended Notice itself.
