GREYHOUND INDUSTRY ACT, 1958 (APPOINTED DAY FOR PURPOSES OF CHAPTER I OF PART V) ORDER, 1958.

GREYHOUND INDUSTRY ACT, 1958 (APPOINTED DAY FOR PURPOSES OF CHAPTER I OF PART V) ORDER, 1958.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (Appointed Day for Purposes of Chapter I of Part V) Order, 1958.

2. The 1st day of January, 1959, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of Chapter I of Part V of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 .

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 18th day of November, 1958.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Order is to bring into operation on 1st January, 1959, the provisions of the Act as regards the holding of course-betting permits by bookmakers.
