The Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No. 13) (Wales) Order 2004

  Made 31st March 2004 

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 118(5) and (6) and 122 of the Care Standards Act 2000[1].

Citation, interpretation and application
     1.  - (1) This Order may be cited as the Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No. 13) (Wales) Order 2004.

    (2) In this Order, a reference to a section is to a section of the Care Standards Act 2000.

    (3) This Order applies in relation to Wales.

Appointed Day
    
2. 1 April 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 8, 9(2) and (3), 10(2) to (7), 11 to 15, 17 to 21, 24, 26 to 32, 36 and 37 in so far as their provisions relate to domiciliary care agencies and are not already in force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This order appoints 1 April 2004 as the day for the coming into force of certain provisions of Part II of the Care Standards Act 2000 ("the Act") for the purposes of regulations made in relation to domiciliary care agencies. This will have the effect of bringing these agencies within the regulatory framework of the Care Standards Act 2000.
