The Registrar General for Scotland, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 1 to the Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978(1) and with the approval of the Secretary of State, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Adopted Children Register and Parental Order Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.
2. The entry to be made in the Adopted Children Register pursuant to a direction contained in an adoption order shall be in the form set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
3. The entry to be made in the Parental Order Register pursuant to a direction contained in a parental order shall be in the form set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
4.-(1) The Adopted Children Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1991(2) are hereby revoked.
(2) The Parental Order Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1994(3) are hereby revoked.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations specify revised forms of the entries which are to be made on and after 1st January 1996 in-
(a)the Adopted Children Register maintained by the Registrar General for Scotland; and
(b)the Parental Order Register which is maintained by the Registrar General for Scotland in consequence of the Parental Orders (Human Fertilisation and Embryology) (Scotland) Regulations 1994 (S.I. 1994/2804).
The entries will be made following a direction in an adoption order or a parental order as the case may be.
The revised forms of entry make minor changes to the style and layout of the forms of entry specified in the Adopted Children Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1991 and the Parental Order Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1994 which previously specified the forms of entry and are revoked by these Regulations.
1978 c. 28: paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 1 has effect in relation to parental orders and to applications for such orders with the modifications specified in paragraph 18 of Schedule 1 to the Parental Orders (Human Fertilisation and Embryology) (Scotland) Regulations 1994 (S. 1994/2804">1994/2804).
