The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 73(2) of the County Courts Act 1984(1), hereby makes the following Regulations:
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Register of County Court Judgments (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st November 1993.
(2) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, a regulation referred to by number means the regulation so numbered in the Register of County Court Judgments Regulations 1985(2).
2.-(1) Regulation 5 shall be amended by inserting, after paragraph (2A)(3), the following new paragraph-
"(2B) Where in an action for the recovery of land an order is made for the payment of money (whether for costs, payments due under a mortgage, arrears of rent or otherwise) that order shall be exempt from registration until the judgment creditor takes steps to enforce it.".

These Regulations amend the Register of County Court Judgment Regulations 1985 so as to exempt from registration until the judgment creditor takes steps to enforce payment any order for the payment of money which is made in proceedings to recover possession of land.
1984 c. 28; section 73 was amended by the Administration of Justice Act 1985 (c. 61), section 54 and by the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 (c. 41), Schedule 17, paragraph 14.
