      CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS

      The Children (Scotland) Act 1995 (Commencement No.4) Order 2001

        Made 20th December 2001 

      The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 105(1) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995[1], hereby make the following Order:

      Citation
           1. This Order may be cited as the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2001.

      Appointed Day
          
      2. 22nd January 2002 is the day appointed for the coming into force, so far as not already in force, of section 101 (panel for curators ad litem, reporting officers and safeguarders) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.

      EXPLANATORY NOTE

      (This note is not part of the Order)

      This Order brings into force on 22nd January 2002 section 101 of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995, which provides for the establishment of a panel of persons from whom curators ad litem, reporting officers and safeguarders may be appointed.

      NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS
