TRAMWAYS (IRELAND) ACT 1860 - SECT 48

Order in Council may apply amended Standing Orders.

48. Provided always, that if at any time it shall appear to
the Lord Lieutenant in Council to be expedient that any provision that may be
hereafter adopted in the Standing Orders of either House of Parliament
relative to Private Bills should be applied to tramways or proceedings under
this Act, it shall be lawful for the Lord Lieutenant in Council, by Order, to
apply such provision accordingly in such manner as may seem fit,
notwithstanding that the same may be inconsistent with any of the regulations
contained in the schedules to this Act, and from time to time to revoke or
amend any such Order; but no such Order shall have any effect until the
expiration of one month after the same shall have been published in the
[Belfast Gazette], and laid before both Houses of Parliament.
