SLAVE TRADE ACT 1824


TABLE OF PROVISIONS

           Long Title

   2.      The purchase, sale, or contract for slaves declared unlawful; as
           also the exportation and importation of slaves;
   3.      Penalty for dealing in slaves, or exporting or importing them, &c.
   4.      Ships fitted out for slave trade to be forfeited.
   5.      Penalty for embarking capital in the slave trade, &c.
   6.      Penalty for guaranteeing slave adventures.
   7.      Penalty for shipping goods, &c. to be employed in the slave trade.
   8.      Penalty for insuring slaves or slave adventures.
   9.      Subjects of His Majesty, &c. dealing in slaves on the high seas,
           &c. to be deemed guilty of piracy.
   10.     Section 10
   11.     Seamen, &c. serving on board such ships declared guilty of a
           misdemeanor, &c.
   12.     Making any offence, misdemeanor, shall not affect the provisions of
           this Act imposing forfeitures or penalties for any such offence.
   39.     All securities given in contravention of this Act void.
   40.     Offenders giving information against owners of vessels, &c. to be
           exempted from penalties.
   47.     Limitation of suits, &c. for penalties and forfeitures.
