POLICE ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1970 - SECT 35

1954 c.33

35. In this Act

"Advisory Board" has the meaning assigned to it by section 18(1);

"another United Kingdom police force" has the meaning assigned to it by
section 19(1);

"appointed day", where it occurs in any provision of this Act, means the day
appointed under section 36(2) for the coming into operation of that provision;

"Minister" has the meaning assigned to it by section 6(1);

"Ministry" has the meaning assigned to it by section 2(1);

"Police Association" has the meaning assigned to it by section 17(1);

"Police Authority" has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(1);

"police force" means the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Royal Ulster
Constabulary Reserve;

"senior officer", in relation to the Royal Ulster Constabulary, means an
officer above the rank of county inspector;

"statutory provision" has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(f) of the
Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954.
