B>(2) THE MINISTER SHALL CONSULT SUCH ORGANISATION AS APPEARS TO HIM TO REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF FARMERS BEFORE APPOINTING THE GENERAL AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE AFORESAID, AND SHALL APPOINT AS MEMBERS OF OTHER AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES SUCH PERSONS AS APPEAR TO HIM, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH SUCH ORGANISATION AND WITH THE INTERESTS CONCERNED, TO BE BEST QUALIFIED TO ADVISE ON THE MATTERS TO BE REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEES. 6 EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

Expenses of county committees of agriculture and agricultural advisory committees.

27.(1) No salaries or fees shall be paid to members of any county committee of
agriculture, or to members of any agricultural advisory committee constituted
under section four of this Act, but the Ministry may pay to such members out
of moneys provided by Parliament such out-of-pocket expenses (including
travelling expenses and subsistence allowances) reasonably and properly
incurred in connection with the business of such committees as the Ministry,
with the approval of the Ministry of Finance, may determine.

(2) Any expenses incurred by a county committee of agriculture, or by an
agricultural advisory committee constituted under section four of this Act, in
the performance of their functions under this Act shall, to such extent as may
be approved by the Ministry, be defrayed by the Ministry out of moneys
provided by Parliament.
