MAGISTRATES' COURTS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1964 - SECT 136

Powers of resident magistrate or other justice in relation to persons not released on bail.

136. Any power of a magistrates' court or of a member of the Royal Ulster
Constabulary to require or authorise a recognizance of any kind to be entered
into or to fix the amount of any recognizance shall include the power to
require or, as the case may be, authorise the recognizance to be entered into
with a surety or sureties.
