LUNACY REGULATION (IRELAND) ACT 1871 - SECT 31

Grant of custody may be extended to surviving committees in certain cases.

31. Where the master shall find and report that several persons are fit
persons to be appointed the committees of the estate or of the person, and is
of opinion that one or more of the same several persons should continue to be
the committee or committees after the death or discharge of the others or
other of them, and such persons are willing so to continue, the master may
report accordingly; and where such report be confirmed the continuing
committee or committees shall and may continue until further order to act
after the death or discharge of the other or others of them, with the like
powers, authorities, and discretions, and subject to all the like liabilities
as the original committees.
