LAND LAW (IRELAND) ACT 1881 - SECT 16

Provision as to certain small tenancies.

16. A tenancy for a year certain created after the passing of this Act, shall,
for the purposes of this Act and of the
Landlord and Tenant (Ireland) Act, 1870, be deemed to be a tenancy from year
to year.

A tenant holding under a tenancy less than a yearly tenancy created after the
passing of this Act shall have the same rights under this Act as a yearly
tenant, except where land is let merely for temporary convenience or to meet a
temporary necessity.
