LEASEHOLD (ENLARGEMENT AND EXTENSION) ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1971 - SECT 6

Power to discontinue acquisition of fee simple or grant of extension of lease.

6. A person (in this section referred to as the applicant) who proposes to
acquire the fee simple in land by virtue of this Act shall be liable for the
payment of the reasonable costs and expenses actually and necessarily incurred
in complying with the provisions of this Act by a person upon whom a notice
under section 2 or 4 in relation to the land has been served but, if a notice
under section 7 in relation to the land is served on the person upon whom the
notice under section 2 was served, the applicant shall be liable only for the
payment of any such costs or expenses incurred by that last-mentioned person
prior to the service of the notice under section 7.
