IRISH BANKRUPT AND INSOLVENT ACT 1857 - SECT 265



265. [The Court shall, by general orders to be from time to time made pursuant
to this Act] [Bankruptcy rules shall] regulate and fix the manner and time of
the choice and appointment of creditors assignees of the bankrupt's ... estate
and effects; and all creditors shall be entitled to vote in such choice
personally, or by some agent duly authorized in writing; and the choice and
appointment shall be made by the major part in value of the creditors:
Provided that the Court shall have power to reject any person so chosen who
shall appear to such Court unfit to be an assignee, or to remove any assignee;
and upon such rejection or removal a new choice and appointment of another
assignee shall be made in like manner.
