CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1968 - SECT 46

Exemptions and saving.

46.(1) Nothing in this Part or in any byelaw made thereunder shall apply to
the exercise of manual labour by any child while receiving instruction in
manual labour in any school.

(2) The provisions of this Part and of any byelaw made thereunder shall not
apply to a person detained in a training school.

(3) The said provisions shall be in addition to any enactments relating to the
employment of children in factories, workshops, mines or quarries, or for
giving effect to any international convention regulating employment.
