CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1968 - SECT 162

Duty of police to notify Ministry of Home Affairs in certain circumstances.

162. Where a child or young person is by an order of any court made under
this Act removed from the care of any person, and that person is entitled
under any trust to receive any sum of money in respect of the maintenance of
the child or young person, the court may order the whole or any part of the
sums so payable under the trust to be paid to any person to whose care the
child or young person is committed, to be applied by that person for the
benefit of the child or young person in such manner as, having regard to the
terms of the trust, the court may direct.

General functions of Ministry of Home Affairs for promoting the welfare of
persons under the age of eighteen.
