CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1968 - SECT 118

Burial or cremation of deceased children.

118.(1) [The Ministry of Home Affairs] may, with the consent of the Minister,
procure or assist in procuring the emigration of any child in their care.

(2) The Minister shall not give his consent to arrangements for the emigration
of a child under subsection (1) unless he is satisfied that the child

(a)consents, or

(b)being too young to form or express a proper opinion on the matter, is to
emigrate

(i)in company with a parent, guardian or relative of his, or

(ii)for the purpose of joining a parent, guardian, relative or friend,
