CORONERS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1959 - SECT 20

Provisions as to Jurymen and witnesses.

20.(1) Where a person duly summoned to serve as a juror or as a witness does
not appear in answer to the summons, the coroner may, after proof upon oath
that the summons has been served, and in the absence of any reasonable excuse,
impose upon such person a fine not exceeding ten pounds.

(2) Where a person summoned to serve as a juror or as a witness appears before
the coroner, and refuses without reasonable excuse so to serve or testify, the
coroner may impose upon such person a fine not exceeding ten pounds.
