I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(2) of the Bail Act, 1997 (No. 16 of 1997) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 298 of 1997 )), hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Bail Act, 1997 (Commencement) Order, 2000. |
||||||||
2. The 15th day of May, 2000, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Bail Act, 1997 (No. 16 of 1997) , in so far as it is not in operation, shall come into operation. |
