LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CERTIFICATE OF RATEABLE VALUE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 1980.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (10) of section 54 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Certificate of Rateable Value) (Amendment) Order, 1980.

2. In this Order the expression "the Principal Order" means the order made by the Local Government Board for Ireland on the 28th day of March, 1906 pursuant to subsection (10) of section 54 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898.

3. The Principal Order and this Order may be cited together as the Local Government (Certificate of Rateable Value) Orders 1906 and 1980.

4. The Principal Order is hereby amended by the substitution in article 3 of "two pounds" for "sixpence".

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1981.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order amends the Order made by the Local Government Board for Ireland on 29th day of March, 1906 under section 54 (10) of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 which prescribes the payment for a certificate of rateable value.
