DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1979.

I, Gerard Collins, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 (1) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 2) Order, 1979.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1979.

2. In this Order--

"The Order of 1973" means the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 4) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 288 of 1973 );

"the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Galway shall, in lieu of the days and hours (as amended by the Order of 1973) specified in column (4) at reference number 88 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be the first, second, third and fourth Monday in each month and the first, second, third and fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and at 2.30 p.m.

4. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order provides for additional sittings of the District Court in Galway
